Something powerful enough to have done all this could easily have fabricated things for you to experience. Perhaps even effortlessly. Bullshit is a possibility.

It depends on the application. I can navigate another person's mind, should they permit it and circumstances are amenable. If you were to stand across the room from me I could not "read" your mind like a telepath.
