James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes is a recent extractee from one of those Matrices with all the superheroes. In his own Matrix he was the kind of assassin you tell ghost stories about, and if once upon a time he might have been somebody's best friend, decades of brainwashing have left more of the former than the latter.
But hey, rumor is the former might make for a hell of an operative someday, if he ever stops looking at the head jack like he wants to rip out all its wiring and set it on fire.
An existing injury resulted in the loss of his left arm during extraction, but otherwise he seems to be adapting to Reality as well as can be expected — or neglecting to mention it if he isn't. Mostly he keeps to himself. You know, apart from the creepy staring thing.
